What Is Nimble Solo Companion?
This is a free companion tool for playing the Nimble RPG system solo. It takes the decision flows from the Nimble Solo rules and presents them as an interactive, guided experience — with random generators embedded right where you need them.
The site answers one question at every moment: "What do I do next?"
It is not a rules replacement. Players should own (or be exploring) the Nimble books. This site provides enough context to play smoothly but doesn't try to reproduce the full rules.
Draft Rules Notice
The rules content on this site is based on the Nimble Solo draft rules (v9). These rules are still in development and may change as the system is refined. When the official rules are finalized, this site will be updated to reflect them.
Throughout this site, you'll see two types of content, each with its own visual marker:
Content marked like this is adapted from the Nimble Solo draft rules PDF. It represents the official game mechanics — exploration phases, room types, quest structure, luck rules, and so on. This content belongs to the Nimble system and its creator.
Content marked like this is Pixel's guidance on how to use this site and its generators. It includes tips on which tools to open, how the generators work, and suggestions for getting the most out of solo play. This is site-specific advice, not official Nimble rules.
Nimble RPG
Nimble is a tabletop roleplaying game created by Emil Andersen. It's a lightweight, flexible system designed for fast play and creative storytelling.
The Nimble Solo supplement provides everything you need to play Nimble adventures by yourself — random generators for quests, wilderness travel, dungeon exploration, and more.
