The Quest Sentence

What is your Quest?

A [Situation] [Person], concerned about [Motive], asks you to [Objective] the [Description] [Focus] in the [Dungeon] of [Adjective] [Noun], [Complication].

The generator above rolls all of these elements and assembles them into a ready-to-play quest. Reroll if the combination doesn't inspire you — or keep parts you like and reroll the rest.

Quest Tips

  • The quest gives you a dungeon name and an objective. These define where you're going and what you need to do there.
  • The complication is what makes the quest interesting — it's the twist, the constraint, the thing that makes it more than a simple fetch job.
  • Not every quest element needs to be literal. If the generator says your quest-giver is a "desperate merchant," interpret freely — maybe they're a caravan leader, a shop owner, or a traveling peddler.
  • Once you have your quest, head to the Wilderness page to begin your journey to the dungeon.
